Most daily devotionals are wholly inspirational. By that I mean they just seek to encourage you when in trouble and provide solace for those depressed or wounded in life's battles. This is not wrong in any sense and we have been blessed with them over the years. Many who have written them are devout men and women of God who blessed our hearts. Through these devotionals hundreds and thousands have been encouraged.
The aim of The Apostolic Daily Devotional is more than just to provide inspiration, which it does in many senses. It's my desire to encourage men and women to become serious students of the word. We go beyond the inspiration and provide background information and settings in order to enhance your personal devotional time. Our view of the texts is always from the point of the proceeding word. We desire to hear God for this present season. Further the devotion encourages you to ask questions; probe the mind of God and look deeper into the word of God. It's brevity allows you to expand and enlarge upon the thoughts. The captions are chosen as the writing is in progress. Many of them reflect a South African perspective and flavor and may appear out of place in other continents of the world. You however can replace with your own captions. For want of space only the essential parts of the texts are chosen. You're welcome to use them for yourself and small groups or as a basis for a sermon. Kindly keep me informed in this regard.
